I was born and I grew up in the small farming community of Orp-Jauche in Belgium. I graduated from college with a degree in elementary education. After graduation, I interviewed with the CODOFIL and was selected to teach 5th grade at Henry Heights in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

A couple of years later, I met my wife. She was living in Charlotte, North Carolina at the time. There, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade at E.E. Waddell Language Academy. After my daughter was born, our family moved back to Louisiana.

Before coming to BR FLAIM, I taught for several years at the Baton Rouge International School. I have always worked with children, going back to my youth movement days, so it seemed natural to go into early education once I reached college.

I am from Colombia, and I have been living in U.S. for the last 15 years. I have been teaching for 14 years, and I have 7 years teaching immersion at Baton Rouge FLAIM. I love my profession, and I enjoy teaching everyday. I became a teacher because I like children, I am a dedicated person, and I think I have quality to work with children. One of my hobbies is to exercise like walk or work out with weights. My favorite meal is breakfast: I love all types of cereals. In general, I like healthy food. I have a big collection of bulldogs because I love these type of dogs, which is why I have one, and her name is Iris.
