FLAIM hosts a mandatory parent meeting for all grades Friday, August 2, at 11:30 AM. Principal Cheryl Miller will discuss school calendar of events, carpool, 2019 policies and reminders. FLAIM PTO will discuss PTO events and initiatives. Adults only please.

FLAIM Summer Immersion Camp

About

Certified Immersion Teachers will provide educational and enriched activities for students attending the camp and be immersed in the language of French, Spanish, or Mandarin.

Current FLAIM students will have priority, but the camp is opened to students from public, private, homebound, charter schools that are currently in Kindergarten through 5th Grade during the 2018-2019 school year.

Camp will be located at the Baton Rouge FLAIM campus at 4510 Bawell St, Baton Rouge, LA 70808

Dates

Week 1: May 28 – May 31 (4 days)

Week 2: June 3 – 7 (5 days)

Week 3: June 10 – 14 (5 days) 

Time

8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Optional early drop-off at 7:30 AM and late pick-up until 5:00 PM for an extra fee

FEE per child

Weekly fee for Week 1

$110 for 8:30AM to 3:30PM (4 days)

$130 if early drop-off is needed

$150 if late pick-up is needed

$165 if early drop-off and late pick-up is needed 

Weekly fee for Week 2

$135 for 8:30AM to 3:30PM (5 days)                

$160 if early drop-off is needed

$185 if late pick-up is needed

$200 if early drop-off and late pick-up is needed 

Weekly fee for Week 3

$135 for 8:30AM to 3:30PM (5 days)

$160 if early drop-off is needed

$185 if late pick-up is needed

$200 if early drop-off and late pick-up is needed 

Sibling discount: a $25 discount will be deducted from the regular fee for each week.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost. Students may bring 2 snacks for the morning and afternoon breaks.

We know how challenging school supply shopping can be so the FLAIM PTO is working with Louisiana Office Supply this year to make your life a little easier. Deadline to order is July 16, 2019!

When you purchase your school supplies through Louisiana Office Supply, they will outfit your student(s) with all required school supplies on their teacher's list. Students’ school supplies will be boxed, labeled and delivered to their classroom for the first day of school. 

School Supply Lists

Download your class supply list. It is necessary to bring supplies to school on or prior to the first day of classes. Please remember that some supplies are consumable (crayons, paper, glue, etc.) and will need to be replenished throughout the year as necessary.

Under the Big Top: Teacher Appreciation Week

Next week we celebrate our amazing FLAIM teachers and staff!!

OUR MISSION: Help our incredible teachers and staff recharge by stocking the lounge with food!

  • Volunteers & Decorating: After school THIS FRIDAY, Teacher Appreciation Committee need volunteers to help decorate the campus and lounge.

  • Stock the Lounge: Each grade and language will bring breakfast or lunch items on a specific day. Homemade dishes are especially appreciated.

  • Coffee & Tea Service: We need tea, coffee and hot chocolate k-cups, creamer, honey and delightful beverage cookies and treats. 

  • Gifts of Love: Our teachers and staff have worked so hard this year making this new campus our home. Please include the ancillary staff and administration when showering gifts, cards and love. For gift ideas, visit the Teacher’s Lounge webpages to see your teachers’ and staffs’ favorite things.
