Letter from Mrs. Miller
Hello from “FLAIM”! I hope that all of you are having a wonderful summer. It is going by so quickly! By the time you get this letter there will only be a few weeks before the beginning of school. I thought that you might like to know some of what will happen this coming school year.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new students, teachers, and parents this year. A BIG WELCOME TO ALL OF YOU TO OUR NEW SITE.
PTO school supplies will be ready when students report to school. For those of you who did not choose to participate in the PTO School Supply project through LA Office supply, supply lists are ready! You may pick them up at the school anytime Monday through Thursday from 8:00- 4:00. If you would like for us to fax or email you a copy, we can do that as well, just call Ms. Nunnery at 343-6630. You can also download them here.
There is a mandatory $25 supply fee collected from each student. These fees are used to replenish classroom materials, festival materials and purchase planners and folders. This fee is due on the first day of classes. The school may reduce or waive supply fees for economically disadvantaged students or are financially unable to pay them. Please contact the school for more information.
We have many of our teachers returning. Since we have been at two sites, many of you do not know all of the teachers, so I will wait until Open House to introduce everyone. Our new teachers with CODOFIL will arrive the week of July 23rd. Ms. Mahan (Wild), 3rd grade ELA, will be returning this year. Ms. Jodi Miller has moved to Kansas so we will have a new 4th grade ELA teacher. This year we are adding a second French class to 1st grade and in fourth grade we are adding a Spanish and Mandarin class. It will be wonderful having everyone together again.

On Fridays we do have Spirit Day. Students may wear their BR FLAIM T-shirt to school on each Friday.
Arrival & Dismissal
The school day for FLAIM begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:25 PM. Pre-K dismissal is at 3:10 PM.
Carpool Guidelines: All students arrive through the parking lot driveway, and students walk into gym. All parents that are tardy must park and come into the office to sign student in. A student is tardy at 8:30 am.
Dismissal is divided between the parking lot driveway and the flagpole drive. See map.
BR FLAIM will continue to conduct our own extended day program. The extended day program will be located at the new site. We will not take any registrations until we are at our new site. To learn more about the Extended Day Program and to download the Packet.
