2017-2018 PTO Board Members
The BR FLAIM PTO Board is comprised of parent volunteers just like you! If you are interested in taking a leadership position or heading a committee, we'd love to have you.
Claire and her husband, Daniel, have two delightful children: their son, Liam, is in 3rd Grade French, and their daughter, Mary, is in 1st Grade French. Having lived and traveled throughout Europe, Claire knew that FLAIM would be a wonderful beginning to her kids’ cultural experiences.
Claire has over 15 years experience as a consultant in communication, technical writing and program management. She is an avid amateur bike rider, and when possible, she attempts to pick her kids up from school daily on her big green bucket bike. She supports her Irish heritage as a member of the Celtic Society of Louisiana.

Carlos, a Tennessee native, moved to Louisiana in 1999 to work in academic support for the LSU football team and attend graduate school. There he met his best friend and future wife, the former Kerii Landry. Both Carlos and Kerii share a passion for equal access to quality public education for ALL children. Moreover, they believe that cultural competency is necessary for all children in the 21st century, thus their love for BR FLAIM. Carlos enjoys cooking, spending time with his family, and tennis when his shoulder works properly.

Jillian was born and raised in Jennings, La. She has lived in Baton Rouge since 2004, when she relocated to attend college at Southern University. Being an active parent and seeing her child in a diverse learning environment were most important to Jillian when she searched for a school for her daughter. She was so happy to find this and much more when they became a part of the FLAIM family! Her daughter, Morgan, is now in third grade Spanish.
Jillian runs a small cookie business, Star Parties and Sweets, and is a Brownie Girl Scout Troop Leader here at FLAIM. She enjoys cooking with Morgan, planning parties, attending Girl Scout events, and is an avid reader.
Former PTO President Matt Diez was instrumental in the Primary-Upper FLAIM expansion and will continue working with the District as the PTO Government Relations Liaison.
Matt Diez is the father of two BR FLAIM students. Ada Marie is in 2nd Grade French, and David is 4th Grade French.
