Letter from the Principal, November 7, 2019
Time certainly has flown by these first three months. It has been a fantastic three months, but it is moved quickly. Our students are working hard, and we are all looking forward to the holidays.
Just a reminder about parties and field trips…Birthday honors can be held in K and 1st grade only. This can only happen if you have contact the teacher at least a couple of days before, and you must be there to serve the treats. There are only two parties held during the year officially…holiday party in December and end of year party.
If a student has continuous problems within the classroom or on the campus, that student may be required to have a parent/guardian be with them on a field trip in order to participate on the field trip. Also, siblings (little brothers and sisters) are not allowed to be on the field trip. When a parent volunteers to come on a field trip it is to be with their child and assist with the other students. One cannot assist if a little brother or sister is tagging along.
School Performance Score
Our SPS has grown by 3.3 points, from 105.9 to 109.2. I am soooo very proud of our students and our teachers. It really is true. Only by working together can we ensure success for our children.
For Christmas, we are asking our students to wear red or green T-shirts. Spanish and Mandarin classes should wear red. French classes should wear green. Please make certain that it is plain red or green.FALL FESTIVAL
All of you should have received a bright yellow note about if your child will attend the festival. It is very important that you send those notes back to school so that we can know where to send your child at 3:00.
CARPOOL FOR ALL STUDENTS WILL BE IN THE FLAGPOLE DRIVEWAY…NOT THE BIG DRIVEWAY.
THERE WILL BE NO WALK UPS ON FRIDAY. EVERYONE WHO IS NOT ATTENDING FESTIVAL WILL BE CARPOOL.
Please check the below for a list of events. We hope to see you soon.
Thank you for all that you do!
Ms. Miller and Ms. McBride
